The Clinical Leadership Group (CLG) was formed in May 2009 to provide expert clinical and professional leadership to support the Regional Clinical Services Programme.

The CLG has responsibility for providing considered, well-informed and evidence based clinical leadership on a range of matters related to the RCSP. It will provde guidance on the most appropriate way for a shared understanding and common agreement about the RCSP to be realised with clinicians as well as review programme documents. As the work programme develops the CLG will support the RCSP Steering Group to deliver on its objectives, acting as a key professional contact and liaison to ensure that consistent messages are given about the RCSP and assist with risk identification and management.

Membership comprises of clinical representatives from each of the Central Region DHBs, including the Chief Medical Officers and Directors of Nursing and the Clinical Directors and Chairs of each of the regional Clinical Networks.
