TAS will be a highly respected professional services organisation delivering high quality management services to New Zealand DHBs and other health sector organisations.
To successfully partner the health system through providing expert resources and knowledge in a highly connected and collaborative way to facilitate better health and wellbeing outcomes for all New Zealanders.
Do what we currently do well
Build our reputation
Deliver new value
The current role of TAS is to support the District Health Boards (DHBs) in the Central Region, and nationally, to provide ideas, expertise and programme management in achieving their health care targets, and improve the services they provide. We do this by operating dedicated programmes with specialist resources that can achieve better value for money than DHBs and other customers would be able to do within their own, individual organisations.
In the future we consider our role is to bring information and insight to the health sector, and to help customers develop national and regional strategies that will address their priorities. From there we will need to turn thinking into agreed, actionable pieces of work that will deliver real change and improved health system outcomes.
Our vision is to be an organisation that operates in a business-like fashion, to provide specialised professional services that enable our customers to achieve better health outcomes and value for their money.
"A respected professional services organisation delivering high quality management services to New Zealand DHBs and other health sector organisations".
Our focus over the next three years will be to establish a clear line of sight on the value we are adding and critically assess our role, performance and the necessary actions required to optimise the return on investment to our customers. In particular, the key sources of value TAS can deliver are:
The way that we work with our customers is best described by our mission statement:
"To successfully partner the health system through providing expert resources and knowledge in a highly connected and collaborative way to facilitate better health and wellbeing outcomes for all New Zealanders".
Put simply our priorities are:
Our first priority is ensuring the programmes and services of today are operating well and have sufficient support and management to deliver the expected outcomes for our customers.
Building on our service delivery, we plan to better understand how we are performing in order to prioritise improvement (and communicate our successes).
Over the next three years, there are a range of new areas of potential value we plan to explore that use our existing capabilities and add value to the health sector. These areas (subject to customer feedback and business cases) include strategic planning and analysis for the national DHB executive, further services with the Health of Older People and Employment Relations programmes, developing a Health Informatics business group for the central region and continuing to realise new market opportunities for Audit and Assurance, outside the Central Region DHBs.
